Net margin
Net profit as a percentage of revenue — how much of each dinar earned is kept.
Calculated as net profit divided by total revenue. It shows how much a company keeps of what it collects.
It is only comparable within an industry. Wholesale trade routinely runs on one or two per cent, while twenty per cent is ordinary for a software company — comparing the two says nothing.
Overit calculates this from the published figures; it is not a line a company reports.
