The bank code in a Serbian account number
The first three digits of any Serbian account number identify the bank that holds it. Below are those codes and the banks they belong to, compiled from the National Bank of Serbia's unified register of accounts.
How an account number is built
An account number has three parts, separated by hyphens: the bank code, the account itself and a check number.
- First three digits
- The bank holding the account
- Middle part
- The account's own number at that bank
- Last two digits
- A check number, computed from the rest
